Death

In case of a death of a Maldivian in Sri Lanka we advise to inform the High Commission Immediately, as you may require our assistance regarding the various procedures relating to burial or repatriation of the body of the deceased and other matters that may need to be addressed.

Marriage

There are specific guidelines for marriages to be registered in the Maldives. Please email or call the High Commission or visit Family Court (Maldives) website http://familycourt.gov.mv/ for more details.

Birth

The Mission provides consular assistance to the Maldivians who requires registration of their newborns in Sri Lanka.

The High Commission in collaboration with the Maldives Immigration provides temporary travel document to babies born in Sri Lanka to facilitate them to travel to Maldives.
